Thoughts and Things I'm Pondering
Why I think everyone should do JuJitsu. Just some background on myself I just turned 43 years young literally just a few days ago as I sit and write this. I've been involved in martial arts since the age of 5 and really haven't looked back since. Most of my time was spent training Muay Thai which is my first love but decided to start training BJJ/JuJitsu about 1 1/2 years ago when I moved to FL. I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try something else, especially as I start to get older. Muay Thai isn't exactly the easiest on the body, plus I don't know many guys my age or older still training BUT I know plenty of Jujitsu students.
Ok, here is why I think everyone should do Jujitsu - The lessons you learn on those mats can be taken and applied to anything in life. For example, almost every time I step foot on those mats I am put into some position that makes me want to quit or tap, usually just to get out of that situation. BUT, during those times if you can get COMFORTABLE being UNCOMFORTABLE something magical starts to happen. You see in Jujitsu you have 2 options when someone puts you in an uncomfortable position, you either quit and submit or you learn to relax and breathe. Just like in life, same options apply when something happens in life or at work or in family situations. Jujitsu prepares you for life and everything that is outside of the mats. Besides being one of the best form of self-defense, self-confidense and overall great workout Jujitsu is for everyone and for life!
Real Estate
By trade for the last 7 years, I've been running a wholesaling company that mainly focuses on the Northeast section of the US. We mainly work with investors and developers from all over and in the last few months we've seen very big swings in the real estate market and we continue to believe that it will get worst before it gets better. Right now, we're definatly moving into a buyer's market but the problem is interest rates are at all-time highs and many local smaller investors are sitting on the sidelines, mainly due to the cost of properties and materials/supplies. So if local investors aren't buying right now it's gonna make selling your house in "as-is" condition that much more difficult. I think for the next few months until until policitcal season is over we're gonna see houses decline in prices depending on which market you're in and also take much longer to sell on market. If your an investor and have cash this might be a GREAT time to buy, it always seems to be when there is blood in the streets! With all that being said properties are still moving and buildiers and still building. Next few months should be interesting so I'll be keeping my eyes and ears to the street to get a pulse on the market. NFT's
Well looks like Gary V was right when he said over a year ago that 99% of all NFT projects would go to zero and NFT winter is looking like he might be right or at the very least had a good point. He also said that you should be using the money you can AFFORD to lose, and it certainly doesn't seem that's the case from what I can see being involved in the space for the last year. It certainly got me to stop in my tracks and reevaluate the projects I was involved In. Personally, I can't handle too many projects and tracking everything so I had to simplify my bags by selling everything that I didn't want anymore even at a loss if need be, and use those funds to double down on projects that I believe In. The good thing about NFT winter is prices are way down so great time to DCA or jump into a new project that you had your eyes on previously but were priced out.
Here are some of the recent moves that I've made over the last few weeks and months. Please keep in mind none of this is NFA these are just my moves and thoughts.
Gutter Cat Gang - So this is probably my biggest bag currently, I had about 22+ clones which I sold and traded into 9 OG's (dog, pigeon, and rat) 3 of each currently. Not sure if I'm gonna go for a cat or not but this project checks off a lot of marks for me so excited to see what the future holds with or without $GANG token. Until then, I'll be looking to snipe more cheap OG's and assets.
Lazy Lions - I had 3 lions for a while and ended up selling all of them to buy more GCG but the community is so strong that there was no way I couldn't have at least 1 lion in my bags so with the current prices I ended up sniping a great scratched up lion with ETH shirt.
VeeFriends Series 2 - I've been a huge fan of Gary V for a long time and recently watched an Interview with him talking about the NFT space and I had no choice but to at least get 1 of these in my bags. He has so much passion that there is no way I can't support the man and his project. I've been watching for a long time and felt these price levels were good, I ended up buying a flagged item (since I don't plan on selling) for waaaaaay under the floor. Why not!?!
Here Is what I'm watching over the next few weeks: Bored and Dangerous and Otherdeed for Otherside Land. Will most likely add one of those If not both at some point but for now just staying focused on GCG and finding great deals. Once again, NFA............Oh and before I forget Jenkins The Valet, gonna add one of those also.
Who I'm Following
The Liver King - Why Is his name "The Liver King"? Cause LIVER IS KING!! I FUCKIN love the Liver King and as crazy as his social media his message resonates with me and so many other people. So many people are hurting today, living a life they HATE and It's time we change all of that. He talks about the 9 Ancestral Tenets that he lives by and If most people incorporate them into their lives they will see improvements in all aspects of life. As someone who has worked over 10 + years In the medical system, I can tell you first hand it's broken and we need a change. Eating real food, being out In nature, connecting and bonding with family and friends along with daily movement and sun exposure are needed to create the life you've always wanted. Eating nose to tail Is something our ancestors always did and for some reason, we've lost our ways. I urge you to checkout and follow the Liver King and make sure you listen to his message! Liver King OUT! And If you don't feel like eating organ meats there are also supplements you can take, I highly recommend you get some organ meat In your life.
What I'm Reading
The Man Uncivilized Book By Traver Boehm, actually re-reading this book as that is what it's meant to be used like, almost like a manual that you can pick up again and again. This is an UNapologetic guide to becoming and finding a wild and conscious, LEGEND of a man. This book is the key for men building the life men want to live, not the one a warped society demands of them. I highly recommend this book for ALL men, it has opened the door for me and helped improve my life in many ways including with my partner and my daughter. If you're a man, you need to read this book and women this would also be good for you to get more insight into men. A+ rating on this book!
